“How You Can Capture Your Family’s Happiest Moment, And Hold On To It Forever...”

Dear Friend,

Your family is changing so fast, isn’t it? Your children (and yes, they will be your “children” even when they’re married and have kids of their own) are growing up, and becoming more like adults every day. Don’t you wish you could just “freeze time” and hold these special moments forever?

My name is George Delgado, and capturing wonderful family memories is what I devote my life to. I’m a professional family photographer, but more than that, I’m just like you... I’m a family person.

We Can Stop The Clock. Memories Are The Most Valuable Thing We Own.

Can you relate to this at all? I wake up every morning and wonder where the time is going. Do you ever do that? Have you noticed that, the older you and your children get, the faster time seems to fly? I’m very lucky - I get to see my already grown-up-and-married children – Lisa and Michael – pretty regularly since they live within a few hours drive. But there’s one thing I regret...

I Would Give Just About ANYTHING IN THE WORLD To Have A Fine Family Portrait Of Lisa and Michael as children, together with my Wife And Myself...

This is going to be hard to believe. I’m a professional photographer, and I don’t have a family photograph created when my children were still living at home. It took my daughter getting married for us to have a professional photographer create a portrait of all of us together.

What I wouldn’t give to be able to go back in time, and capture those moments with photography. That’s one of the reasons I became a professional photographer - I want to help other families hold on to their family memories forever, and never regret not having a family portrait done.

5 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) About Having A Family Portrait Created -

By coming to this web page, you must be seriously considering having a portrait of your family created. Well, that’s great - you will probably never make a decision that will bring you more lasting joy. However, there are some things you NEED to know before you and your loved ones step in front of any camera. By the time you finish reading the next few pages, you will know everything you need to know about how to have the perfect family portrait created - the one you will cherish forever!

You may feel that having a family portrait done is going to be a lot of work on your part. Well, it isn’t! In fact, that could almost be one of the Frequently Asked Questions right there. As long as you know the information we’re going to provide, it won’t be any work at all on your part.

#1 FAQ - Do You GUARANTEE I Will Love My Family Portraits?

ABSOLUTELY! If NY Portraits creates your family portrait, you will love it. Not just like it. LOVE IT. Just suppose you had a family portrait created, and your son or daughter didn’t look natural in it. The photograph was “ok,” but it didn’t quite turn out spectacular. Should you have to pay for it? ABSOLUTELY NOT! No one should ever have to pay for a photograph that isn’t GREAT. That’s why I am one of the few portrait photographers IN THE WORLD to offer this kind of no-questions guarantee:

If Your Family Doesn’t Look GREAT Together In These Photographs - If aren’t THRILLED When You Look At Them - Don’t Pay Me For Them.

That’s my guarantee and personal commitment to you. As far as I know, there’s no other photographer around that will make you this kind of unconditional guarantee. These photographs will be completely meaningless to you unless they convey the real emotions and relationships between you and your loved ones. That’s the only real reason to have a family portrait created.

So, if FOR ANY REASON you feel that the photographs I create for you are anything less than great you don’t have to pay me for them. It really doesn’t matter what I think of the photograph. YOU ARE THE ONLY JUDGE. It’s that simple.

Anyone with a camera can say “I’m a photographer”. But less than 5% of the Professional Photographers of America have earned the Certified Professional Photographer designation I proudly put after my name. That is one of the things that makes me so confident that the portraits I create of you and your family will be well beyond anything you imagine.

I believe wholeheartedly that these photographs will be among your most prized possessions - that, if your house were on fire, you would grab them on the way out of your burning home. I have absolute confidence in my ability to capture natural, real emotions and family relationships with my photography. That’s what I live and breathe for, and that’s why I can’t wait to photograph your family for you.

Here’s My Fantastic UNCONDITIONAL, You Be The Judge, GUARANTEE:

If you are not THRILLED with your photographs - if you are dissatisfied for ANY reason at all, I will do two things for you:

1st- I will photograph your family again, At NO CHARGE, and make sure that anything that wasn’t perfect the first time is fixed, without you paying another cent.

2nd - If I am absolutely unable to thrill you even after two tries - if I’m unable to create a photograph that you feel you will cherish forever, I will refund EVERY PENNY. You don’t pay for your photographs unless you love them!

If you do choose another photographer, make ABSOLUTELY SURE he or she offers this strong of a guarantee. If they are really good, they should back up their work by taking all the risk off of you.

#2 FAQ. Aren’t All Family Portrait Photographer’s Pretty Much The Same?

INCORRECT. Nothing could be further from the truth. If you’re at all like most people, you’ve probably had this question going through your mind: “How do I choose the right photographer?” In fact, you may even have thought of someone in your family - an uncle, a grandparent, even a friend - who is a bit of an amateur photographer. Why not just have that person create the photograph of your family?

Question: “Just Suppose Someone Were To Create The Perfect Family Portrait - One Where You And Your Loved Ones Looked Better Than Ever, Happier Than Ever - A Portrait That Meant The World To You - What Would That Be Worth?”

Can you put a price tag on your family’s memories? They are - and always will be - priceless. So, why would you ever want to gamble with those memories? It’s just a question of whether you believe a portrait of your family could really mean that much to you.

If you were sick, and had to go to a doctor, would you want the “cheapest” doctor, or the best one? Well, there’s really no question. It’s the same thing with your family’s memories. You can certainly find a cheaper photographer in town. But there are other things to consider than just price...

The Photographer You Choose Should Care About YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR MEMORIES, Not Just About “Making A Buck” Off You.

I pride myself on becoming a family friend of every family I photograph. I’ve even had some clients invite me to their homes for birthday parties and such. You see, I didn’t get into photography to get rich. Believe me, there are better (and easier) ways to make a living. I actually spent decades as a Senior Vice President of one of the largest insurance brokerage firms in the world. I could be making a WHOLE lot of money if I’d stayed in that line of work.

But I CHOSE the longer, harder, “road less traveled” to become a professional family photographer. Why did I make that career choice? Because I finally realized that all the money in the world meant nothing to me if I didn’t feel like I was making a difference in people’s lives at a very personal one-on-one level.

I Realized That Memories Were Priceless - That There Was No More Noble Or Wonderful Profession Than To Become A “Memory Giver.”

Time is the one thing that none of us have enough of. It’s the one thing that money can’t buy. It’s the one thing that we all would give just about anything for. Through photography, we can hold on to the moments in our lives that we wish could last forever. And, if it’s done correctly, these same photographs can become almost like works of art that we display in our homes for everyone to see and share.

#3 FAQ. Do We Have To Create Our Family Portrait In Your Studio? And Won’t We Look Stiff And Boring?”

Picture all of you gathered together. All of you are dressed in clothes the trained eye of a professional photographer helped you chose. Clothing that conveys your individual personalities, but still looks great together. You’re relaxed and happy, everyone feeling good about themselves, and enjoying a fun experience together. Well, that’s what we strive for as part of the NY Portraits Experience. It makes all the difference, and that’s what I will do for you.

You can choose to come to our studio or, if you prefer, we will create your family portrait in a comfortable room in your home, outside at a favorite park, on the beach, or any other location you choose. These are all great places to create family portraits that are especially meaningful to you for the people in them, and the place the photograph was made.

A typical child’s photo session might last about an hour, while a family portrait session might be twice as long. We will take the time to photograph dozens of images in a variety of poses. For family photo sessions, this normally includes individual portraits as well as combinations like mother/daughter, father/son, all the children, as well as the entire family together.

Because we see clients “By Appointment Only” the studio is all yours while you are here. There’s never a line to get in and no rush to get you out the door. You’ll relax, have fun, and we get great pictures. We’ll take plenty of time for special needs, especially with babies and children. You’ll find the studio very family-friendly. It’s a place you can all relax and enjoy the experience while we create great photos of family and children.

And This is SO Important: All Of You Feel Totally Comfortable In Front Of The Camera!

Do you know ANYONE who feels totally comfortable in front of a camera? I’ll bet you don’t. I don’t. Nearly everyone I’ve ever met tells me the same thing: “I never look natural in pictures.” The last thing you want is a photograph where you or your family members have that fake “posed” deer-caught-in-the-headlights look on your face.

That’s why it’s so important that you feel very natural and comfortable with your photographer. Just think of how great your family would look if your best friend was creating the photograph. They would all look so happy and natural! I take pride in developing very close relationships with all my clients, and their entire family.

I’ve studied the “psychology” of photography. Learning the technical aspects - what lenses to use, what lighting looks best, how clothing adds and subtracts weight in photographs - all of those things were only the tip of the iceberg. Without being able to make each and every one of your family members look and feel comfortable (and natural) in your photographs, all those technical things would amount to nothing.

You’ll NEVER hear me utter the words “say cheese.”

That’s a surefire way of getting expressions that look totally fake and unnatural. No - a great photographer knows that, in order to get a great expression from a subject, you need to get to know that subject a bit - to know what will make them smile naturally. That’s what I do, and I love it! I will get to know your whole family so well, and they will feel so comfortable with me, that their expressions will be perfect every time.

#4 FAQ. Can You Help Me Make Choices About Clothing, Hair, Makeup, Location, etc.?

Color harmony, grooming, makeup, and background are all crucial elements that will affect the quality of the final photographic composition. Surprisingly, many photographers leave the client hanging and fail to give them key guidance and advice about critical choices they make on clothing and other design elements. It’s so much easier for the photographer to just say “it’s OK - wear whatever you like”. However, I pride myself in being different. I’m going to help you with all of those things, WHETHER I’M YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER OR NOT!

“What one thing would you save – after your family and pets –would you save from the flames if your home were on fire?”

There’s only one answer to that question in our society. The photographs. It’s a “GIVEN”. Family photographs are our single most valuable and important possession. They encapsulate lifetimes of memory, even after those in them have passed away.

A True Story

About 11 years ago, a photographer friend of mine was asked to photograph a wedding. Like me, he specializes in family portraits but also occasionally does weddings by referral. Photographing weddings is always wonderfully emotional. Sometimes, it’s the first time the entire family has been together in years. And, the couple is probably at their absolute happiest on this day.

The bride’s name was Sharon, and she and her family were so wonderful. The wedding was perfect. The photographs were beautiful

Now, Fast-Forward Two And A Half Years... A Tragedy Happened, And Sharon’s Life Was Never The Same.

Two and a half years of wedded bliss later, Sharon and her husband had a beautiful home. They had decorated it home just the way they liked it. They had even adorned some of their tables and shelves with family heirlooms that had been handed down from parents and grandparents. Then, one of the things we fear most happened...

....a terrible fire started, and began to burn their home and possessions to the ground.

Fortunately, Everyone Got Out Of The House All Right - Thank Goodness For Smoke Alarms - But What Happened On The Way Out May Startle You.

Just imagine standing outside your house, watching it, and all your cherished memories, consumed in flames. I don’t suppose any of us can really know what that feels like, unless we’ve actually been through it.

As Sharon ran through her burning house, trying to get to safety, a thought ran through her mind. She was running past all of these wonderful memories she’d spent a lifetime lovingly collecting- and she knew she had time to save one of these items - but only one. She would only have the time to safely grab one thing as she and her husband ran to safety.

Passing Valuable Jewelry, Heirlooms And Trinkets Collected Over Lifetimes, What Does She Chose To Clutch To Her Heart And Rescue From The Fire?

Running to safety, without giving it any real thought, Sharon grabbed the albums containing the wedding photographs of her and her family. Holding those albums to her chest, and protecting them almost like a child, she ran from the flame-engulfed home.

Sharon called my photographer buddy the next day and told him the story, and he readily admits they were both in tears talking about it. I’ve heard him tell the story more than once, but I still get choked up whenever he repeats it.

THESE PHOTOGRAPHS Were So Important To Her, She Couldn’t Bear The Thought Of Them Being Destroyed.

That story sums up the reason I became a photographer. Creating photographs that mean that much to people - I can’t imagine anything that would make me feel more fulfilled as an artist.

Sharon Realized That The One Thing That Can Never Be Replaced - That We MUST Hold On To - Are The Memories We Share With Those We Love.

Life is so terribly short. But, at the same time, life is such a wonderful gift. And the memories we keep of these moments with our family will last forever.

Why Your Family Portrait Will Become More Valuable To You Than Anything Else In Your Home:

Do you have a photograph of your family that, if you were running from your burning home, would be the one thing you save (other than your family members, of course) on the way out?

Now, I’m not talking about a “snapshot” that was taken during a family outing on the Fourth of July. I’m talking about a wonderful photograph, created by a professional photographer, that not only captures your family’s true bonds and relationships, but also does so in a way that you’d be proud to display openly in your home for the rest of your life.

It’s Not Too Late. This Moment, Right Now, Can Be Held Onto For The Rest Of Your Life - For You To Share With Family And Friends.

You don’t have to make a big decision right now. You don’t have to choose your photographer - you don’t even have to decide that now is the time for your family portrait. Just take one small step toward holding onto your family’s happiest moments RIGHT NOW.

Just Call My Studio at 646-704-3500, And We’ll Chat. It’s All Up To You.

Once again, my studio number is 646-704-3500, and you can call any time. If I don’t answer, just leave your name and number at the beep, and I’ll call you back.
